By purchasing any Austrian Airlines ticket each passenger is allowed to carry a specific amount of baggage free of charge, which depends on the travel class of service and the flight’s destination. Austrian baggage allowance policy is based on “the piece concept”. Generally Economy Class passengers and children travelling with Austrian Airlines can carry 1 piece of baggage up to 23 kg of weight, while Business Class passengers can carry 2 pieces of baggage up to 32 kg each.
Austrian Airlines passengers are allowed to carry a specific amount of hand-baggage on board. Each Economy Class passenger is allowed to carry on board 1 hand-baggage, while Business Class passengers are allowed to carry 2 pieces of hand-baggage. Every item of hand-baggage must not exceed the dimensions of 55x40x23 cm and the total weight of 8 kg.
