Each passenger is allowed to bring a certain amount of baggage for free. This amount of baggage depends on passenger’s destination and travel class. Air New Zealand baggage allowance policy differs for domestic and international flights.
For all international long haul flights departing to or arriving from any US destination e.g. Los Angeles passengers travelling on Economy Class are allowed to carry 1 piece of baggage, Premium Economy passengers are allowed to carry 2 pieces of baggage up to 23 kg and Business Class passengers are allowed to carry 3 pieces of baggage up to 23 kg each.
Every passenger can bring on board 1 piece of hand-baggage up to 7 kg, Business Class passengers are allowed to bring 2 pieces of baggage weighing up to 14 kg and with total dimensions 118 cm. Air New Zealand Frequent Flyers members are allowed to bring additional pieces of baggage free of charge.
